#Turbans a #headgear which is draped by males , mosly made up from a single piece of long  cloth which is wrapped around the head in a wide variety of styles.among that #pheta a Traditional turbans which is used in the #Maharastra region is called In the earlier days , wearing a Pheta was considered a mandatory part of clothing in Marathas tradition.there exist a three different styles of draping this turban which predominantly decided by the region where it is used , Mawal style pagadi is mostly used by the #Tanjore_marata kings  actually that is unique style of Mawals Marata warriors of Mawal region.during the rule of Maratas #Tanjore kingdom have a inspiration over that pagadi head gear so that has been utilised in temple to adorn gods head gear quite similar to the pagadi turban , here in this comparison shown below shows the marata head gear used in the major chola region that is tanjore and adjescent districts Saiva Vaisnava temples , like #Swamimalai  Swaminatha swami temple #Mannargudi SrividyaRaja gopala swami temple, #pandhanallur temple ,and #rameswaram ramanathaswami temple have a unique pagadi made out of sea water pearls and also #Trichy #Malaikottai Thayumana swami temple ,  these turbans were made out of gold adorn to the lord during their annular processions and a painting also incorporated in this image which is a Thanjavur Maratha King Shivaji II (ruled Thanjavur from 1832-1855 A.D) and King #Serfoji II (ruled Thanjavur from 1798- 1832 A.D) exisit in the  Maharajah Serfoji II Memorial Hall Museum, #Sadar_Mahal Palace, Thanjavur is shownn on which a Kings adorned with a similar magnificent Mawali style headgears (pagadi) from these pictures we could understand the usage of pagadi for the deities was got influenced from maratha kings and its still in exist in temple tradition with historic imapacts.
